The .NET Framework 2.0 is an integral Windows component that supports building and running the next generation of applications and XML Web services. The .NET Framework 2.0 is designed to provide a consistent object-oriented programming environment whether object code is stored and executed locally, executed locally but Internet-distributed, or executed remotely.
It’s necessary to install the .NET Framework 2.0 to run software released by Serial Port Tool, such as Comm Operator, ZigBee Operator, PTZ Controller, Relay Timer, N-Button, and so on.
Although there are .NET Framework 3.0, 3.5 and 4.0, only the .NET Framework 2.0 works with Serial Port Tool’s software since all Serial Port Tool’s software are developed with Visual Studio 2005.

For Serial Port Tool’s Pocket PC software, such as Comm Operator PPC, PTZ Controller PPC, Relay Timer R4X PPC, the .NET Compact Framework 2.0 needs to be installed.
