N-Button Pro/Lite software supports Timers feature. It allows you set up timer for control actions, such as relay control, turn on/off relay, send data, execute actions list. Here will show you how use Timers by a simple relay control example.
Task:
- Add a timer to turn on relay 1 for 10 seconds
- Add another timer to toggle relays 2 every 2 seconds during 10 seconds
1. Connect a relay board (National Control Devices) with your computer, which has N-Button software installed.
2. Add the relay board to N-Button Devices Manager.
3. Add a Relay Button to Toggle All Relays. This is to make sure the relay board works well with N-Button.
4. Click Timers to add Timer 1:
- Duration :10 seconds
- Action when Timer Starts: Relay 1 On
- Action when Timer Ends: Relay1 Off
5. Add Timer 2:
- Duration :10 seconds
- Action when Timer is running: Toggle One Relay – Relay 2
- Interval: 2 seconds
6. Add a Customized Button:
- Click Action: Start the Timer 1
7. Add another Customized Button:
- Click Action: Start the Timer 2
Now, click the Timer 1 button on the desktop, relay 1 will be ON for 10 seconds; click the Timer 2 button, relay 2 will be on and off every 2 seconds for during 10 seconds.
N-Button software supports not only Timer, but several other features to control relay board, such as Actions List, conditional control, and control relay with HTTP request.
You can also control 2-channel relay board with our Quick Timer R2X or Relay Timer R2X software by preset alarm or schedule.
